promotes quality and efficiency in higher
education through a variety of different
programs. They have recently helped to
ammend the lottery tuition assistance act to
further help students. They are involved in
many other financial aid programs that can

gives $1,000 to ELCA Lutheran Church members
and $1,000 to children and grandchildren of
Alumni. |

awards full tuition to graduates of the S.C.
Governor's School (min. SAT 1250). |

Palmetto Fellows
Scholarships of $6,700 are
awarded every year by the South Carolina
Commission on Higher Education. They award
an average of 1,133 students a year with an
acceptance rate of 82%. The requirements
are: 1200 SAT or 27 ACT, 3.0 GPA, top 5% of
class, and South Carolina resident with no
felonies or drug and alcohol related
offenses within the past year. |
